12 Hours of Sebring 2026: P4 after a marathon full of teamwork
The GoodfellasSimracing.nl team took part last Saturday in the 12-hour endurance race at Sebring International Raceway in the iRacing Special Event, with four of our drivers — Sam, David, Henrie and Sander.
The team's livery radiated professionalism and recognizability, with a design that stood out immediately among the international entries. The setup was spot-on too: the configuration was carefully optimized for the specific demands of Sebring, with attention to grip, stability and tire management over the long stints. Even so, the race proved to be an intense test of consistency, strategy and teamwork.
Start and opening phase
At the rolling start, the GoodfellasSimracing.nl drivers took up a solid position in the field. Sander opened the race with a controlled and incident-free first two stints, keeping pace with the midfield despite the busy track and Sebring's characteristic bumps. Communication within the team stayed clear, and the pit stops went according to plan, with an efficient handover to David for the next two stints.
Middle phase and challenges
Over the long hours of the race, all four drivers showed their endurance simracing experience. Henrie and Sander delivered strong stints with minimal incidents, while David struggled a bit more with the grip levels — resulting in a few small spins. The setup proved its worth in the fast corners and on the straights, where the car remained stable and predictable.
Still, Sebring stayed true to its reputation as a demanding circuit. Small incidents and strategic choices around tires and fuel led to position changes. The team maintained a professional approach: no unnecessary risks, focus on fuel consumption, and continuous coordination with each other on Discord.
Final phase and finish
In the final hours of the race, the drivers were still fighting for P3. In the end we finished in fourth place. Sam closed out the endurance race with a solid final double stint, as the full quartet brought the car flawlessly across the finish line after twelve hours of intense racing. While the absolute top result stayed out of reach, GoodfellasSimracing.nl demonstrated the consistency and team spirit that define the community.
