You don't buy iRacing once. You pay for a subscription, and if you want more than the free base content, you buy cars and tracks separately. Below are all the amounts as iRacing publishes them: in US dollars and without VAT.

What does an iRacing subscription cost?
iRacing has four terms. The membership page shows the regular price and the price for new members, who currently get 30% off.

These prices have applied since 18 August 2026. Before that, one month cost $13.00, three months $33.00, twelve months $110.00 and 24 months $199.00. According to iRacing, it was only the second price increase in nearly twenty years. According to iRacing, Steam prices would also rise at a similar rate.
A new account and a renewal are set to renew automatically by default. You can turn that off at any time in the Account section of members.iRacing.com, without penalty. According to iRacing, an automatic renewal after the price increase adjusts to the new prices.
Our calculation: twelve single months cost 12 × $14.75 = $177.00. A yearly subscription of $124.50 works out at $10.38 per month, two years at $222.50 at $9.27 per month.
What do cars and tracks cost?
You pay once for a car or a track.
- Car: $11.95.
- Track: $11.95 or $14.95, depending on the track.
- Discounted cars and tracks: $2.95 and $4.95.
- On Steam: cars and tracks are typically $1 more, because VAT is already built into the Steam price.
iRacing announced that car and track prices would not change with the price increase. If you organise your own races, a hosted session costs $0.50 per hour. Only the host pays: a four-hour session costs $2, and everyone else races for free.
What is included for free?
Every subscription includes 32 cars and 29 tracks with more than 85 configurations. Everything you need for the official rookie races is in there. According to iRacing, new features and racing opportunities come at no extra charge.
If you race a lot of official races, you earn iRacing Credits through the Race Participation Credit Program:
- Race 8 of the 12 race weeks of a season in one official series.
- You get $4 credit in a Rookie, D or C series and $7 in an A or B series.
- Up to $10 per season, $40 per year.
- Credits pay for cars, tracks and your subscription. They expire 24 months after they are granted.

VAT and paying in euros
iRacing lists all prices in US dollars and without indirect taxes such as VAT. VAT is added at checkout, at the rate of your tax jurisdiction.
Since 22 October 2026, the iRacing store outside the United States shows the price of cars and tracks both with and without VAT. Before, you only saw the amount including VAT at checkout. The prices themselves have not changed. Checkout still shows the full amount including VAT.
You pay in dollars, so what you spend in euros depends on the exchange rate. iRacing itself suggests checking it before you check out. On Steam, VAT is already included in the price of cars and tracks.
Example: your first year
Our calculation, using only iracing.com prices, without VAT:
- Yearly subscription as a new member: $87.15.
- Three cars and three $14.95 tracks, together in a separate order: 3 × $11.95 + 3 × $14.95 = $80.70.
- Six items at once get 15% off: $80.70 × 0.85 = $68.60 (rounded).
- Total first year: $155.75, plus VAT.
If you stick to the free content, it is $87.15 plus VAT. The 30% discount applies to new memberships. The regular yearly price is $124.50.

Discounts when you buy more content
iRacing applies these discounts automatically at checkout:
- First purchase: always at least 10% off.
- 3 to 5 items at once: 10% off.
- 6 or more items at once: 15% off.
- 40 items owned: 20% off every purchase from then on.
- All full-priced content owned: 30% off new content.
Content of $5 or less does not count, and neither do Tech Tracks. The discounts cannot be combined with other promotions. iRacing also runs membership specials for members throughout the year.
