24 Hours of Spa 2026: P31 to P9 with Team 1

Twenty-four hours, one Ferrari and a starting spot deep in the field. Team 1 began the 24 Hours of Spa in P31 and brought the car after a day and a night of racing to a strong ninth place. No fuss, with a great deal of teamwork.

Team 1 was David, Sander, Remko and Frank. The brief was simple: survive, stay consistent and claw back the field gradually. That it would not come easily was clear early on.

A messy opening phase

The first hours were anything but smooth. There were some early struggles — the kind of small setbacks a long race brings with it. From P31 there was little room for mistakes, and it took effort to find a rhythm. Still the team stayed calm: no panic, no unnecessary risks, just keep driving and limit the damage.

Fighting back with pace

Once the car and the drivers were in sync, the real speed came through. Together we showed very strong pace — stint after stint consistent lap times, clean driver swaps and clear communication on Discord. Position after position Team 1 moved forward, while others hit problems through the long night.

To P9

From P31 to P9: a gain of twenty-two positions over twenty-four hours. No spectacular overtakes in a single lap, but the patient, steady work that makes endurance racing so special. David, Sander, Remko and Frank brought the Ferrari home clean — a result to be proud of, and exactly the kind of race Goodfellas stands for.
